(Yahoo News) Actual US president Donald Trump is facing a government probe into his ties with Russia, but he's really more concerned about fighting with beloved writers on Twitter.
His latest social media flame war seems to be with Stephen King, the legendary author who defined the horror genre with classics like "It", "The Shining" and "The Dark Tower".
Concerned that his own hellscape populated with evil clowns, killer cars and zombie pets is now looking preferable to real life, King has admittedly tossed a few zingers The Donald's way from time to time. Some of King's tweets:
- "Trump's cabinet offers a postgraduate-level course in ass-kissing."
- "If Ivanka Trump had grown up in farm country, like some of us, she'd know her father is reaping exactly what he sowed."
- "After listening to Comey today and Trump for last 4 and a half months, I have a clear opinion on which one is the actual 'nut job'"
Unfortunately, the writer has caught the attention of an angry POTUS, who has responded the way any dignified world leader would -- by blocking a critic on social media.
With his trademark gallows humor, Stephen King shared the news: "Trump has blocked me from reading his tweets. I may have to kill myself."
Clearly, this is the world's biggest travesty since Maximum Overdrive. Luckily, Stephen has a famous friend who's also had experience taking the piss out of Trump.
"I still have access [to Trump's tweets]. I'll DM them to you," Harry Potter writer JK Rowling offered.
We've suddenly come up with an idea for a novel: two brave writers vanquish a hairy orange ogre with their sheer wit alone. . .
