In 1965, I was active; so it wasn't about making a decision of serving.
We still believed and lived John F. Kennedy words; And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.
And we had gone down towards Cuba in October of 1962; 'Missiles of October'.
So we just viewed Vietnam as other place to confront world communism.
Fast-forward to late November of 1967, and general westmoreland in Washington D.C saying or repeating.
We can see the light at the end of the tunnel, which by then I knew that was just other lie.
I had just got home and I had seen some of the NVA base camps up north in I Corp in October of 1967.
And I knew that our enemy could escape to rest areas in Laos and Cambodia to resupply and re-group.
The NVA could count on China for supplies and 'volunteers'.
That why the 'Tet offensive' should not have caught us with our guard down.
Compound that with under-reporting of our enemy strenght by ommitting the home-guard.
In keeping faith; with those still fighting in Vietnam. I just held all that inside.
The anti-war in Vietnam, by some of the youth, who's demographics made them ripe for the 'draft'.
In my eyes; where just cowards, who let another serve in their stead/place.
Joining a long line of cowards, who paid some other poor soul to serve in their place.
Scariest costumes. . .I get quite a laugh seeing this cartoon.
But there might be a bit of TRUTH...etc
Hint, hint, hint, not for much longer.
Not this tide.
Not this tide.
Not this tide.
None this tide,
Nor any tide.
My play on words from the poem 'My Boy Jack' by Rudyard Kipling
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN -
SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE...
Disrespecting the flag by kneeling is it UNPATRIOTIC?
Or act to point out an INJUSTICE.
Racism is man's gravest threat to man.
The maximum of hatred.
For a minimum of reason.

Tell me who you walk with, and I'll tell you who you are.
From the Book of Republicans:
"Lo, we have many @$$holes running for President.
Let us consider, and pick the biggest.
And so it was done."
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.

Walk a few.
Blocks or in a local mall.
