I wanted to say, what are these men really saying or doing?
Are they giving voice to those that cannot longer speak for themselves?
We have a long history of civil disobedience,from the Boston tea party.
And Henry David Thoreau, 1849, the 'underground railroad.
Up to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
If the police forces of the nation, policed themselves on shooting of black men.
There would be no necessary action by these football players as not all kneeling are black.
I sense there's a great deal of fear of the changing demographics of the nation.
Not in my life-time but in my grandchildren time.
As I one asked my 'shrink' do 'white' men fear the minorities will treat worst than they are treating us now?
I would rather that they would live in a nation that are part of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speech;
I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave-owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
My service does not give me great authority to speak.
But does it also include being denied a voice to speak on injustice?
