Everyday I C. . .

The 'daft twerp' behaving like he does, to me he the living persona.
Of what my dear grandmother Maria De Marcial Gonzalez taught me that men should not behave themselves.
She had raised 4 sons, so she was passing to me what she taught them.
If they have any self-respect. the 'daft twerp' says he expects 'loyalty'.
What he really is saying, he wants others to RESPECT him.
Now another thing, I think I must have been 6 1/2 years old, possibly 7.
We had gone to sleep, when I woke up to all this screaming; Wake up, they are in our lines .
And they are killing us, one of my dear uncles, got up and went to talk to man screaming.
'You're save and survived, and back home, I think to my childish mind.
Came the reality, 'they don't show this in any movie, PTSD before that term came to be,
There's a price to pay with one service.

War Is Never Over
By Cecil L. Harrison

War is never over
Thought the treaties may be signed
The memories of the battles
Are forever in our minds

War is never over
So when you welcome heroes home
Remember in their minds they hold
Memories known to them alone

War is never over
Nam veterans know this well
Now other wars bring memories back
Of their own eternal hell

War is never over
For I knew world war two
And I'll not forget the battles
Or the nightmares that ensue

War is never over
Those left home to wait know this
For many still are waiting
It was their farewell kiss

War is never over
Though we win the victory
Still in our minds the battles
No freedom is no

On Being Asked For A War Poem
By William Butler Yeats

I THINK it better that in times like these
A poet's mouth be silent, for in truth
We have no gift to set a statesman right;
He has had enough of medding who can please
A young girl in the indolence of her youth,
Or an old man upon a winter's night.

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Diabetes II or Diabetes 2
Affect a few.
What's a body to do?
Walk a few.
Blocks or in a local mall.

Looking more like the puppet Walter!
