Yaa ... "Its" vs. It's" is another gawd awful plural & possessive word ....

.. that is confusing and misused by many ..... me included. I have to stop and think what is the proper spelling.
Most people know that "'s" is the possessive form for most words. So they use "it's" to designate a possessive word. However, "it's" means "it is"
English has too many exceptions to the rule. However, in French, German, Spanish, Italian, nouns are gendered - Der, Die, Das .... Le, La, Les .... In English, the word "the" does the job. That's much more efficient.
