Fingers are being pointed all about from different sources.
One thing ... the Mayor of DC Muriel Bowser has no authority to provide protection for the Capitol. The Capitol Building has its own "police force" for that responsibility. There were too few of them for the number of rioters. Mayor Bowser's early request to bring in the DC National Guard was rejected by the Secy of the Army ... until it was too late. I wonder if Trump had colluded with the Secy USA on this. Duh !!!
Mayor Bowser asked the police forces from PG County and Montgomery County of Maryland for help. They came, but the trumpites had already breached the building.
